FAU is partnering with the Living Skills in Schools program, which is part of a not for profit organization, to conduct surveys focused on families’ perceptions of the Family Box for Substance Abuse Prevention. The Family Box for Substance Abuse Prevention contains prevention education programming, age-appropriate for grades 5-12, a family activity, and other evidence-informed substance use prevention information, and family incentive kit in the form of a family meal gift card for a family of four. The results of the survey will be used to enhance future efforts for preventing substance abuse and misuse by Living Skills in the Schools, as well as disseminate to relevant scholarly or clinical venues to expand understanding of substance abuse prevention materials.
