Why The Box
What you'll notice about this box is that it wasn't only made for you. It was designed with your teenager in mind, too. If you've experienced that push and pull of the middle school years, “I don't want you around, but please don't go anywhere” you understand how difficult it can be to know how to respond. This box gives you the tools to keep the connection open. But it also gives your child the space to meet you halfway to offer a little, to signal they're still open, to let you back in without it feeling like a significant step. You don't have to carry this alone, and neither do they.
Strong relationships help build resilient kids.
The Family Box for Resilience was intentionally designed to strengthen the protective factors that prevention research has consistently linked to healthier outcomes for young people. Through simple conversations, shared experiences, and guided coaching, you'll be helping your child build:
-
Strong parent-child communication
-
Trust and emotional connection
-
Healthy coping skills
-
Emotional resilience
-
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
-
The confidence to ask for help
-
A strong sense of belonging
